How to Throw a BIG Party in a Small Apartment-image

Ever thought about throwing a party in your apartment? Does it feel too small for your guest list? Well, we have all the tips and tricks on how to do it! Create an Open House      If you want to have lots of your friends over, but don't feel like they can all fit. Create enough space by lengthening the time of the party. Invite guests to arrive between the hours of 5:00 and 9:00. This ensures that people will be coming and going throughout the night and the turnover will make sure that guests are passing by. Make Space      Sometimes we think that we need enough chairs to sit all of our guests, but the truth is, not everyone needs a seat! Folding chairs everywhere can actually limit space for guests. Party hosts must accept that some guests will have to stand. Usually, by their own choice. You can also push all of the existing furniture to the walls so there are more areas to mingle. If you have a patio open the door and let guests flow to that space as well. Double Duty      Repurpose your existing furniture for the night. You can use your office desk and side tables as a place to serve your snacks. Shower rods double as coat racks and windowsills double as drink holders. Your coffee table becomes your dining table and throw pillows and rugs become your chairs. Don't be afraid to get creative. Set the Mood      Not every party needs tons of decorations to be a success. Keep it simple by adding a vase of flowers on the counter, hanging up twinkle lights, throw on some low music, or add a few herbs to spice up your platters. It is the small details that truly matter. Clear the Clutter      Get rid of anything on the counters to make space for the party and food. You can store it inside the oven, in the cupboards, under beds, and in the closets. Any extra décor can be set aside. But you are probably wondering where you are going to cook the food. Don't worry we will get to that! Feeding the Crowd      We recommend sticking to finger foods and at room temperature. This is going to be your charcuterie boards, prepared meats, cheeses, olives, crackers, fruit, and vegetables. Your guests can graze all night. Make sure to put the food out in clusters throughout the space so not everyone is in the same place at once. We also recommend having one specialty drink for the night.

Mirrors add instant space without having to do anything, all the work is done for you. Tricking the eye to instantly make the space more roomy. 2. Another great way to add space is by adding large art or frames on the walls. In doing so, you make the walls feel bigger. Statement pieces are a must. 3. As odd as it may sound, pulling furniture away from the walls can actually create a more welcoming space that feels as though there is more room. This creates areas throughout your apartment that are designated, inviting, and proportionate. 4. The right set of curtains can also go a long way.
