Explore the New Islands Exhibit at the Idaho Falls Zoo-image

Looking for a fun family activity to add to your September calendar? The Idaho Falls Zoo at Tautphaus Park has something new to explore! The Zoo recently unveiled its exciting Islands exhibit , giving visitors a brand-new way to experience wildlife, conservation, education, and play. Opened on September 3, 2026 , the Islands exhibit is one of the Idaho Falls Zoo’s most significant additions in recent years. The immersive experience was designed to encourage visitors of all ages to explore, discover, and connect with wildlife in a whole new way. But the Islands exhibit is more than just a new place to see animals. At its heart is an important conservation message focused on habitat fragmentation . As natural habitats become smaller and separated, wildlife can have a harder time finding the food, water, shelter, and space they need to survive. Instead of simply reading about this challenge on traditional signs, visitors can experience the concept through interactive elements, animal habitats, visual storytelling, and opportunities for play. The goal is to make conservation something visitors can discover for themselves while enjoying their time at the Zoo. The new exhibit features new animal habitats and interactive experiences designed to engage visitors of all ages. While the experience is educational, it is also designed to be fun and memorable, making it a great destination for families looking for something to do together this fall. The Islands exhibit was made possible through the generosity of donors, sponsors, and community partners. According to the Idaho Falls Zoo, no taxpayer dollars were used to create the exhibit , making the project a wonderful example of community investment in local education, conservation, and family experiences. 🦁 Add It to Your September Calendar! If you haven't visited the Idaho Falls Zoo recently, September is a great time to go check out what's new. Grab the family, explore the animals, and make time to experience the Islands exhibit for yourself! 📍 Idaho Falls Zoo at Tautphaus Park 🌴 Islands Exhibit 📅 Now Open 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Fun for all ages The Idaho Falls Zoo has long been a favorite local destination for families, and the Islands exhibit gives visitors another reason to stop by. Whether you're interested in wildlife, conservation, or simply looking for a fun local adventure, there's something new waiting to be discovered. 🦒🌿🐒 So, grab your walking shoes and make a day of it!
